David’s mission is to influence more people to become disciples of Jesus Christ through positive living, physical and online teaching, and God-guided videos. He also wants to bring the Kingdom of God to the local community, other C&MA churches in North America, and even other churches across regions and engage in Kingdom Ministry. He is the senior pastor of the Greater Boston Chinese Alliance Church and an adjunct professor at Simpson University in Northern California.

Pastor

Pastor Kit Hsu

khsu.gbcac@gmail.com

Pastor Hsu is a member of the Christian & Missionary Alliance. He graduated from the BSSM program of Bethel Church in Redding, Northern California, in 2024 and is currently studying online for a Master of Divinity degree at Tozer Theological Seminary of Simpson University of the C&MA. He has served on the worship team in the past and has been a part-time minister in our church since 2025.

Our Church History

In 1985, a group of Christians from the Boston Chinese Evangelical Church saw the need for the gospel in Allston and Brighton, the second-largest Chinese community in Boston outside of Chinatown. So, they rented an American Congregational Church in Allston. On June 30, 1985, the Boston Chinese Evangelical Church branch was established and named Boston Western Evangelical Church.

The church became independent in 1986. To more effectively follow the mission of Jesus Christ, it joined the Christian & Missionary Alliance in August 1997 and changed its name to “Greater Boston Chinese Alliance Church.”

In 2000, the church purchased its property in Brighton and has been doing so ever since. In the local Chinese community, we actively carry out outreach work, lead people to the Lord, and witness the gospel’s power to change people’s lives. We continue to work hard to promote the Great Commission. Outside our home country, we participate in global missionary work and donate to the C&MA Great Commission Fund to support various missionaries, missionary organizations, and seminaries. The church also sent short-term mission teams to Panama and Brazil to assist local churches in promoting gospel ministry.

As we enter 2022, the church has received the vision of “becoming a bright lampstand.” It will strive to equip believers with biblical truth, strengthen relationships among congregants, recognize the truth of God, bring healing and revival amid the challenges of the global pandemic, and lead more people to the Lord. Since the end of 2021, under God’s guidance, the church has experienced the renewal of life and the revival of the Holy Spirit. Many people’s illnesses have been healed, and the spiritual oppression has been released. Everyone saw the miraculous work of the Holy Spirit, and everyone felt the spiritual experience of “I have heard of you by the hearing of the ear, but now I see you with my own eyes.” Thank you Lord!

As the church enters 2023, four church leaders from our church are studying at the BSSM program at Bethel Church in Redding, Northern California, becoming a new driving force for its future ministry. This will be a milestone in the church’s renewal and breakthrough. May the Lord use them significantly and enable their lives to be transformed, tempered, and built up through the training in BSSM so that they can become servants fit for use by God.
